„Art is passion, expression of personality and creativity“,
says Berthold Christian Schwanzer and hit the bull’s eye with this statement. Fine arts have become a passion for Berthold Christian Schwanzer, who graduated in art history, as this exhibition shows.
It started with a portrait course in 1966 with the legendary Professor Gerda Matejka-Felden. As a result, painting and drawing would not let him go at longer or shorter intervals. The comment of his artist colleagues makes this clear: „Checkered does not have to be small-checked, the color glazes applied in many layers, in a disciplined and subtle way, turn his pictures into living objects.“
From 1969 Berthold Christian Schwanzer was an independent advertising consultant in Vienna. But the „Artistic Adult Education Center“ became his artistic home.
Since 2005 he has been a member of the artist group „première“. He participated in group exhibitions in the Perchtoldsdorf cultural center, in the old slate chamber in the water world, in Atelier A and in the water tower in Favoriten.
